Basil is a delicious but difficult herb. It does not last long when cut, so use quickly.
To store. leave in the bag in a cool dry place or on the counter. Do not refrigerate (it will turn black).
To clean, rub leaves gently with paper towel, do not get wet.
To prepare, stack and roll leaves (almost like a cigar) then cut.
Basil is great to garnish on pasta. It also makes great pesto!
